The soles, made from natural rubber, are flexible, durable and support natural foot movement. This is another way in which we stay true to our barefoot design philosophy. RIDGE - Kaki: materials and craftsmanship
Uppers: water resistant; in a modern kaki with orange & kaki laces; made from wear resistant synthetic leather and recycled PET.
Lining: insulated fleece lining with a waterproof membrane; the waterproof membrane acts as a barrier against moisture, preventing water from entering the boots while still allowing breathability and the fleece adds a layer of warmth to maintain a cozy environment inside the boots during winter or wet weather.
Insoles: 2mm thick, removable, made from hemp and fleece; the combination of hemp and fleece provides an ideal balance of comfort and insulation; also, they are both environmentally friendly materials: hemp requires minimal water and no pesticides to grow, while sustainably sourced fleece redirects the focus from synthetic fibers
Soles: eco friendly, 6mm natural rubber; natural rubber is highly durable and provides excellent grip, making these soles long-lasting, slip-resistant and kind to the environment.

How to measure your feet:
1. Place a sheet of paper next to the wall. Place your foot (without socks) on the paper with the heel against the wall and trace its outline with the pen held perfectly vertically.
2. Draw a line from the middle of the heel to the longest point of the contour and measure it (this is the length of the contour - line a in the picture).
3. Draw a line from the base of the thumb (next to the mount) to the base of the little finger and measure it (this is the width of the outline - line b in the picture).
4. Measure the circumference as in the picture and write it down.
Choosing sizes for children:
Please keep in mind that every 6 mm is approximately one size, so 12 mm is the equivalent of approx. 2 sizes! For children under 18 months, especially if they are taking their first steps, the shoes must be a maximum of 7 mm larger - 5 mm is recommended - and for children over 2 years old who already walk easily, we suggest ordering slippers with 7-10 mm bigger.
*Our shoes are handmade. Thus, size differences of up to 2 mm may occur.
We care a lot about the crafting process for each pair of Lang.S/Tikki shoes and equally about every step you take in maintaining them. Here is a list of instructions to follow if you want your beautiful shoes to last you longer and better:

Avoid washing them in machines: washing your shoes in machines can damage the material and structure. Try to maintain your shoes as new only by cleaning them locally, manually, with the products recommended by us.

Dry them properly: after cleaning, shoes should be allowed to dry slowly at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators, hair dryers or direct sunlight. All of these can deform or damage the shoes.

Use proper cleaning products: try to only use specialized cleaning products. Avoid harsh chemicals like bleach or any solvent-based products, they can irreversibly harm the shoes.

Cleaning your shoes regularly: clean them regularly to remove dirt and prevent long-term accumulation. For leather shoes, use a special brush or cloth, and for textile shoes, a gentle hand wash would be more appropriate.

Protect your pairs from harsh conditions: avoid exposing shoes to extreme conditions like excessive heat or moisture, both can lead to material damage or ungluing of the soles.

Store them correctly: a cool, dry place will do just fine. Avoid cramped conditions which can misshape them. Maybe you could put them away in boxes?

Alternate wearing: Rotate your shoes regularly to allow them to air out, which helps prevent odors or/and moisture buildup.

Care for suede shoes? Here is a tip: clean them gently with a soft cloth or a specially designed suede brush. Don’t do it too often, though. Only when dirt builds up because suede is a delicate material.

Avoid rough surfaces: be cautious of walking on abrasive surfaces that can scratch or scuff the soles and upper part of the shoes. Unfortunately, the warranty does not cover damage resulting from poor roads, footpaths or pavements, or from using the footwear on other rough, abrasive or corrosive surfaces.

Our footwear is not suitable for extreme sports activities, on vehicles or bicycles without pedals. We recommend you avoid them while wearing us.

As we are not liable for damages resulting from not following the above mentioned instructions, or for discomfort resulting from wearing the wrong size or model/fitting of shoes, nothing would make us sadder than your pair getting damaged too early in your shared journey.
